Biography

I was born on the 10th of March 1988 in Yerevan in the Dabaghians' famous musical family where I heard the singing of Armenian folk from my father Levon Dabaghian and the skill of my uncle Gevorg Dabaghian (duduk player) inspired a big love for the Armenian folk instruments. I study at the secondary school N199 as well as attend the piano classes in the musical school N22.
I began singing when I was 4 years old and the cause for that was the viewing of the film "Sayat-Nova".

I took part in two big Republican festivals with the folk band of Aram Merangulyan: the first festival was "Im ankakh Hajastany hing tarekan e" ("My independent Armenia is five years old") where I took the first place and the second one was "Zartonk 96" which was organized by the Ministry of Defence in May of 1996, where I was awarded the first level diploma and the golden medal after Gohar Gasparyan.

When I was an eight-year-old boy I released my first CD album "Gusanakan erger" ("Armenian folk") that was dedicated to the 285th anniversary of Sayat-Nova's birthday.

In 1998 my first videocassette of Armenian folk "Yes der tas tarekan em" ("I am still 10 years old") was released. In 1999 I was awarded the diploma of "Daraverji astgh" by "Gakheks" youth unoin .
In 2000 my second CD album and videocassette "Hay yergi pokrik ishkhan" ("The little prince of the Armenian song" ) were released.
In 2000 "E.L.A.Sh." producer center gave me the diploma of hit parade "Yerg-2000" for the best singing of the song "Blbuli hid" (Sayat -Nova) .

I gave 5 solo concerts in the full concert -hall after Aram Khachatryan as well as I gave concerts not only all over Armenia, but also in Germany, Egypt, England, Holland, France, USA, Russia and in many other countries.
In 1999 in Los Angeles I gave three solo concerts. During the second solo concert in Glendale (USA) one of my admirers presented me his hand-made prince crown and the audience named me "Hay yergi pokrik ishkhan" ("The little prince of the Armenian song).

Favourite folk singers: Hovhannes Badalyan, Ofelya Hambardzumyan, Vagharshak Sahakyan, Ruben Matevosyan, Araksya Gyulzadyan, Glakho Zakharyan. I would like to mention Hovhannes Badalyan, the man that helped me a lot by his kind advice and support. I had the opportunity to sing with him in my solo concerts such songs as "Horovel" (Komitas) and "Yis qu khimetn chim gidi" (Sayat-Nova).

Favourite music style: classical (Mozart, Beethoven).
Favourite singers: Charles Aznavour, Gohar Gasparyan, Lucciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion.
Favourite footballers: Ronaldo, Arkadi Andreasyan, Khachatur Hovhannisyan, Hovhannes Zanazanyan.
Favourite writers: Hovhannes Tumanyan, Paruyr Sevak, Hovhannes Shiraz especially the poems dedicated to mother.
My dream: to become a great singer and to present Armenian song all over the world.
Favourite car: Jeep.
Constellation: Pisces.
